Housing Element Update 2019-27

The City of Clearlake is conducting an update to the Housing Element. The Housing Element, part of the City’s General Plan, is a policy document that addresses existing and future housing needs for all Clearlake residents and economic groups. The State of California requires by law that the Housing Element be updated periodically. The City is updating the document for the 2019-2027 period.

The City will be conducting a public workshop with the Planning Commission on June 4, 2019 on reviewing the preliminary draft of the updated Housing Element Update document for submittal to the California Department of Housing and Community Development for review. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm and will be held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall,  14050 Olympic Drive, Clearlake, CA. All interested persons are invited to attend and present testimony on the matter at the meeting, and/or submit written comments prior to the meeting.

The Preliminary Draft 2019-27 Housing Element document will be available for review below on May 28, 2019 (Please refer to C-Clearlake 2019-27 Housing Element). We are requesting any comments that you have on the draft plan and soliciting additional comments that can help improve housing conditions in the City for the future.  For comparison, below is the current 2014-19 Housing Element (refer to B-Clearlake 2014-19 Housing Element).
