Russ Perdock Resigns from City Council

Clearlake, CA – February 1st, 2018

On Thursday, February 1st during a Special Meeting of the City Council, Councilmember Russ Perdock read his letter of resignation from the City Council due to his intention of applying for the position of Chief of Police. Mr. Perdock resigned prior to the Council approving the hiring of an executive recruitment firm to lead the recruitment of the next Chief of Police.

In his letter of resignation Russ Perdock stated, “It has been my sincere pleasure and privilege to serve with you as a city council member and mayor. I am humbled by the wonderful journey.”

According to Mayor Bruno Sabatier, “It is with great regret to see such an honorable Councilmember step down from our team. Councilmember Perdock has helped steer our ship in the right direction. As a team, we will continue to offer Clearlake residents a better tomorrow. I wish him the best of luck in his endeavors.”
