The Planning Department is responsible for developing long range plans for the growth of Clearlake and reviewing development proposals for consistency with those plans. It provides a wide range of development services to the community, including:

  • Residential & Commercial Fencing Requirements
  • Home Occupation (Home Office) 
  • Subdivisions

Zoning Inquiries Regarding........

  • Residential: Rural Residential (RR), Low Density (LDR), Medium Density (MDR), High Density (HDR)
  • Mixed Use: Residential & Commercial Combined
  • Commercial: General Commercial (GC, C) & Commercial Downtown (CD)
  • Industrial: For businesses of an industrial nature
  • Open Space: For use and protection of natural and recreational areas

8:30 am - 10:30 am and 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
