I love the plan for Lakeshore Drive. I would like to suggest that as the city begins to work on our city streets, that you look into the idea of using crushed red rock. It is a local commodity and just might be a less expensive product. Just think how unique a community we would be if all of our roads are red with yellow striping. I think it would look really great.

I am very concerned with the practices of the water company we have been assigned to. Especially the charges and questionable practices with regard to billable usage. I also found this company has encountered legal issues that has brought them under the scrutiny of the CPUC. I am hoping to bring this matter to the council's attention, especially after receiving notice of a recent price hike in the tune of $7.25 per CCP of water usage. Other water providers in this area have chosen to not take advantage of their customer's and because water is a necessity, I feel it is time the city take a look at Golden State along with their practices.

Some attention is now being paid to speeding cars on Lakeshore Drive, but none to the cars that routinely speed down Palmer Avenue as an alternate route. Speeds of 40-50 mph are not uncommon on this narrow residential street. Besides an occasional radar car, say between 4 and 6 PM (hint), it may help to change the intersection of Palmer and Mullen Ave. to a four-way stop. Besides slightly slowing traffic, this would eliminate the common problem when drivers on Mullen assume that vehicles on Palmer are going to stop and proceed without regard for cross traffic.

start a community public garden with funding from the community i think it will take off fast this is a great way for us as a community to stick together the proceeds of the harvests could be split between food banks and the community that helps that needs fruit and veggies to pitch in with joining together to making clear lake more children friendly this would be something a entire family could do together with open range if people want to come and do something let them we could also start a few back yard compost piles to use for soil if we cant get the funding to buy it. for random people that walk to the park and see something with people doing things peaking curiosity making others want to join just because they can play in the dirt with pretty green things i would love all the help i mean having a public garden next to a play ground seems like a great idea to me the lot i want is 14071 lakeshore dr next to austin park across the police stations so its always in security range

Clearlake is the darkest town I have ever seen. There are people walking after dark along the shoulders since there are very few sidewalks. Usually these people are wearing dark clothes and carry no flashlight. I have almost hit a few of them while driving my car. They were very hard to see.
The city of Clearlake does not have adequate street lighting for the safety of its residents. The main drag on Lakeshore has limited, scattered street lights. Last time we counted 13 of them were not even working. This lack of lighting also encourages crime. Well lite streets is a deterrent to crime. Compare street lighting in Clearlake to other towns in the area......Middletown, Kelseyville, Lakeport, even Lower Lake's street lighting are far superior to Clearlake's. These town's are also much smaller in population then Clearlake. I would like to add that many municipalities are converting to LED lighting which will be a substantial savings on operating costs.

Road Conditions are in deep despair. The roads in Clearlake are nearly impassable. Is anyone interested in starting an email, Twitter and FB blitz on our City, County, State and Federal representatives? I would like to see a grassroots movement that grabs some attention for our fair city. These representatives are never going to help if we do not shake them to wake them. #clearlakecaroads @repgaramendi
